Japanese Magic Paper
Made in Japan: Made by Kasahara, 1950s. A small novelty toy marketed to Americans as "Japanese Magic Paper". The toy is comprised of approx. fifty (50) small leaves of white and pink paper housed in the original illustrated box measuring approx. 1.5" by 2" by 0.25". The illustration on the top of the box depicts two people in traditional Japanese costume conjuring a soldier on a horse out of thin air. Includes directions on the bottom of the box: "Dip the white paper in the water and lay it on a smooth surface. Lay the pink paper on it and press firmly. After a few minutes remove the pink one and the photograph will appear" Very good. Minor dust soiling, a couple nicks or light dust soiling, rubbed.
