"Death is Waiting for You", A Fire Safety Blotter shows death near by

Quebec, Canada: Ministry of Public Works, 1940s. A fire-safety postcard distributed by the Ministry of Public Works in Quebec. The blotter is specifically warning against cooking fires. On the right side of the postcard is a black and white illustration of a woman cooking on the stove as she appears to be pouring something into the pan. Behind her, surrounded by smoke, is death (a skeleton) reaching out towards her. On the left side of the card is the phrase "De vous servez pas de petrole pour allumer ou raviver un feu car la mort vous guette", which roughly translates to "Do not use oil to light or rekindle a fire because death is waiting for you." Artist printed signature illegible.
