Broadside - Sale of Real Estate Notice, In Rockland

Rockland, ME: Ship Builders Bank, 1855. This notice of sale was for nine different pieces of property in and around Rockland, ME all owned by the Shipbuilder's Bank, a small privately owned bank. The auction most likely was a way for the bank to settle outstanding debt incurred by Rockland companies. The notice for the auction was given on May 16, 1855, but the actual auction took place on June 26th 1855. The properties being sold include Henry Morse Quarry, Russey Quarry, Atlantic Ship Wharf and Lime Manufacturing Company, Lime and Wood Wharf. Single-sided sheet. Measures 8 1/2" x 71/2" Age toning. Crease marks.
