Amesbury's Part in the World War

Amesbury, Mass: Amesbury Daily News Print, 1919. The booklet was issued as a souvenir in connection with the Municipal Reception to Returned Service Men. 33 pages. It gives an overview of the involvement from the Town of Amesbury in Massachusetts during World War One. After the Forward and the General Program for the reception, is a section with Amesbury soldiers that died during the war. Most have a image from photographs along with a quick biography, including their cause of death, several being attributed to influenza. There is also a list of all that served from the town, broken up into Armed Forces branch. There are also stories about the work being done locally in the town and relevant images from photographs. 9 1/4" x 8" Overall condition is very good.
