New York, New York: University of the City of New York, 1859. Engraved ticket for entry into the 1859 Junior Exhibition of the University of the City of New York (later renamed New York University). The school was founded in 1831, and had already opened its first graduate school, the law program, by the time this ticket was used in the 1850s. Measures approx. 2.5" by 4", verso blank. Near-fine.
