Chicago: 1946. A two page typed story to Virginia Whitley at St. Joseph's Hospital , Joliet IL. 1946. The story begins with I do not know you and you don't know me, but what difference does that make? She had heard she was ill and needed something to bright her days, so Sidney wrote a nonsense story with the characters Ellalulu, Lally Dee, the Dog --Beauty Belle, Ellalulu's cat- Sput and the monkey. Accompanied by stick figure drawings each measures 2 1/2" x 3 3/4". With original envelope. Charming.
