Advertising Napkin for Crescent Bread Company, Zwieback
United States: c.1910. A printed napkin promoting two different products, produced c.1910. The message reads: "Compliments of the Crescent Bread Company. For Indigestion try Zwieback". The latter was a toast or biscotti-like product originating in Germany that was used for patients with upset stomachs or infants trying solid foods for the first time. The napkin itself is designed handsomely, featuring a multicolored floral border with clusters of juicy fruits in each corner. Measures approx. 13.75" by 13.5", verso blank. Very good. Light toning, spotting, and creasing, with one minor open short tear to right-hand margin and a couple of nicks around the edges.
