An attractive token given to celebrate the New Year, made from two leaves of heavy wove paper embossed to resemble acanthus leaves, secured with pink silk ribbon. inside the acanthus leaf covers are two scraps of wool tissue. Measures approx. 3.5" by 2.5". Includes ink inscription to the upper cover ("A happy new year 1841."). Very good. Minor toning, the occasional spot, light fraying to ribbon.
