Louis Prang (1824-1909) was an important American publisher known for pioneering improvements in chromolithography.

[Boston, Massachusetts]: [Louis Prang], 1870s. A set of four (4) Louis Prang proofs depicting small ringleted girls against seasonal backdrops. Each features different natural motifs such as snow, ivy, or morning glories. A nice example of how the Victorians loved natural themes in their illustration. Each measures approx. 7.5" by 4.5" Very good. Some remnants of adhesive to versos.
