From a more recent entry online: "The Will Andrade bookshop in Melbourne was founded by William Charles Andrade (1863-1939) in 1898. His interest in the theatre saw him specialise in selling plays and other related publications, along with theatrical supplies (including props and conjuring equipment). The business also operated as a small publishing house. Andrade expanded to Sydney in 1920 and relocated his Melbourne store in 1922. The Melbourne shop was managed by his son, Bill, from 1936 but following Will Andradeís death his wife sold it to Allanís. Sydney, Australia: The Imp, 1939-1940. Two (2) issue of "The Imp", Vol. 5, Nos. 6 and 9. "The Imp" was an Australian serial that referred to itself as the "Official Organ of the Independent Magical Performers of Sydney". Inductees into the society were dubbed "Imps" and were led by their "Chief Imp". The serial included club news including recent social events, business meetings, members news (e.g. obituaries, new member bios), riddles and tricks for readers. Also includes ads for tricks to buy from local vendors such as Mick Simmons Ltd. of Sydney. Each is single vol. (8.25" by 5"), pp. [16], in original photo illus. wrps with images of members on each and bright red illustration of imp. Good to very good. Light toning, short tears (including larger short tear to spine of No. 9), the occasional spot or minor stain.Price: $200.00
