The Present Status of Hypnotism

Newark, New Jersey: Journal of the Medical Society of New Jersey, 1910. A brief monograph on hypnotism, reprinted from the Journal of the Medical Society of New Jersey in 1910. Penned by a physician, it explores whether hypnotism could be viewed as a legitimate treatment for certain afflictions. As might be expected, the author is largely skeptical of the practice's merits, and classifies it largely as deception (p.4). Single vol. (8.5" by 5.5"), pp. 35, [1], in original printed wrps. Good. Some discoloration from staples. Wrappers worn with a couple nicks/short tears, dust soiling.
