"The Secrets of Magnetic Force, Health, and Power" - Human Magnetism

New York, New York: Metropolitan Institute of Science, 1904. A 1904 printed booklet promoting a quack medicine device dubbed the "Hypnotic Ball System". The device was developed by quack doctor Frederick T. McIntyre and was predicated on the pseudo-science of "Magnetic Force", a kind of telepathic healing, and consisted of a ball on a stick. The booklet includes an array of glowing testimonials, vague directions for the use of the product alongside grandiose claims and promises to cure everything from blindness to "lack of force of character". Includes in-text illustrations of the product at work. Single vol. (9" by 5.75"), pp. 32, illus., in original illus. wrps with allegorical image of the power of the product on the front. Very good.
