N.pl: N.p (U.S. Army?), 1945. A visceral first-hand account of the horrors encountered by Americans who liberated the Buchenwald Concentration Camp in 1945, penned by a colonel in the U.S. Army. The booklet includes graphic photographs of the liberated camp and text originally penned by Miller in his letters home: "The information contained in this open letter, which I wrote home, was obtained from personal observation, discussing the matter with a number of officers who entered the Camp at an early date and from personal interviews with inmates" (Foreword). Published presumably by the U.S. Army as a means of spreading the word of the extent of the Holocaust, which at this point the world had not fully grasped yet in early 1945. Includes original field press censor approval stamp on first leaf. Single vol. (7" by 5"), pp. 24, in-text photographic illustrations, in original printed self wrps. Very good. Light toning.
