New York, New York: J. Edward Breuer Inc, 1937. An illustrated 1930s advertising circular promoting a new land development project in Monroe, Orange County, New York. The project is marketed as a recreational paradise, and includes "250 Choice Restricted Lakeside Lots" perfect for family vacation homes. Includes in-text photo illustrations of the scenery, large maps of the development, and terms of sale and restrictions. Note the following restriction: "It is expressly understood and agreed that the property described herein shall not be sold, leased or rented in any form or manner, any any title, either legal or equitable, to any person or persons other than the Caucasian Race". Such restrictions on planned developments were not uncommon in the 1930s in America. Measures approx. 17" by 21" unfolded. Very good. Minor toning, letter folds.
