New York, New York: Benedict Lust, N.D., M.D, c.1918. A public health pamphlet on the importance of purity, penned by two male religious leaders. Includes "The World's Purity and Health League" by Rev. Joseph Hoellrigl and "Purity as an Asset for Social Purity" by Rev. Harry Green. Also promotes books on the subject for sale by, most ironically, Dr. Benedict Lust (upper wrapper verso). An excerpt that nicely encapsulates the pamphlet's point of view: "The future girl, as she comes into womanhood, must be taught that she should know, and that sin leads to destruction. The future boy, as he comes into manhood, must be taught that lust leads to the insane asylum" (p. 20). Single vol. (6" by 3.25"), pp. 24, in original printed wrps. Very good.
