History of the Paper House

Pigeon Cove, Massachusetts: N.pl, c.1930s. An advertising leaflet for LePage's Glue, promoting the product via a brief history of "The Paper House". The house, now a museum and tourist attraction, was constructed in the 1920s by American engineer Elis F. Stenman. Everything, save the exterior, is made of stacked or rolled paper-- furniture and all-- including the fireplace, piano, and even the clock. It was an experiment in low waste and the strength of paper. The leaflet here includes one photo of the exterior with two of the furnishings inside. Printed bifolium (6" by 3.5"). Very good.
