A handsome boxed set from McLoughlin titled "The Improved Historical Cards", providing fascinating insight into what would have been considered important historical facts to know for the typical family in 1880s America. In total, this set is complete with two hundred (200) trivia cards. Some cards are focused on historical figures (e.g. George Washington) while others highlight a particular military battle (e.g. Lexington). A fascinating look into which historical events have remained-- or have not remained-- at the forefront of popular imagination. The box measures approx. 5.25" by 9" by 1.25". Cardboard box covered in coated paper pebbled to resembled leather, stamped in gold. Very good. Light dust soiling. Extremities of box worn.Price: $350.00
