Original game board for a board game by Selchow & Richter titled "Thief of Bagdad [sic]", a magic spinner game for two or more players featuring exoticized imagery of the Middle East, including a fortune teller, a demon, a prison, and magic carpets. This example includes the board only, and lacks the original box, pawns, magic crystal spinner, and magic carpet pieces. The object is to move your pawn to the "finish" square before the other player(s), and to avoid the "crevice" and "prison" spaces. Measures approx. 18.25" by 19" opened, 18.25" by 9.25" closed. Illus. paper pasted to board, spine reinforced with cloth as issued. Fair. Light dust soiling, wear, imagery cracked where center crease is.
