16mo Pastoral Valentine Depicting Little Girl and Lamb Among Wildflowers

England: 1860s. A charming 16mo valentine made from embossed and die-cut paper heightened with silver, and an embossed chromolithographed scrap depicting a little girl and a lamb surrounded by wildflowers. A small hand-cut printed scrap at the foot reads, "Wanted a Sweetheart". Measures approx. 3.5" by 2.25"). Very good. Remains fo previous adhesive to verso, a little toning at head.
