An autograph album with nearly every page has been filled, dating from 1863 to 1865, including a dedication page beginning with a definition: "Autograph: a person's own handwriting". Includes nice examples of neat penmanship with the occasional sentiment sprinkled throughout. The main location listed is Concord, New Hampshire, but others include: Fair Haven, Connecticut; Poughkeepsie, New York; Milford, Massachusetts; South Deerfield, New Hampshire; Ogdensburgh, New York; and Lawrence, Massachusetts. Single vol. (7.75" by 5"), approx. 50 leaves, nearly filled with manuscript, in original pebbled leather boards stamped in gold ("Autographs"). Very good. Light toning, spotting, spine defective with a couple leaves loose.
