Paper Woven Heart

[Pennsylvania]: 1850s. An attractive schoolgirl paper woven heart with scalloped edges. The two paper hearts were hand-cut and woven together in a technique that is, in actuality, harder than it appears. A nice example of folk art, this example with small hand-penciled flora on the lighter paper side. Measures approx. 4" by 3.25" Very good.
