Fine Welch Trim - Die-cut 6' Paper Store Display Display for Welch's Grape Juice - Grandpa & Child Enjoy Welsh's
The company was founded in Vineland, New Jersey, in 1869 by Thomas Bramwell Welch and his son Charles Welch. In 1956, the company was sold to the 'National Grape Cooperative Association', which comprises 1,300 grape growers located in Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington and Ontario, Canada.
Vineland NJ: The Welch Grape Juice Co., [1930]. Large format paper die-cut advertising pieces created for display in store windows. Each of the vertical side banners measures 72" x 20" at the top and 7 1/2" at the base. The top horizontal banner measures 7 1/2" x 72" A warm and loving display as a toddler feeds her dolly a Welch's Grape Jelly sandwich while her grandfather looks on lovingly as he sips on Welch's Grape Juice. Products shown at base of respective banner. The horizontal top banner reads "Welch's" all with grape arbors and vines as background. Also includes original wrapper with illustration of how the banners are to be displayed and instructions for use. Instructions read "Welch Trim Easy to put up - takes no light from your store -decorates your window. The illustrations appear also in our magazine advertising - this will boost your sales.
