Fairy Wings

New York, New York: J. & P.B. Myers, Inc., 1920s. Two large wearable fairy wings for children's costuming produced in the 1920s, lithographed in gold and light peach-colored ink with flaked mica (nature's glitter!) adhered to the peach color. Each wing is labeled with instructions (e.g. "Put this under Right Arm") and is constructed from wire, thick card, and the delicate die-cut lithographed tissue paper wings. Each measures approx. 16.5" by 18.5". When worn, the total wingspan measures approx. 37.5" inches. Partial watermark on verso of one wing dating the wings to the 1920s. Very good. Some minor creasing, a couple short tears, light toning. Delicate.
