19th century. A handmade token of affection made from decorated paper, including bright gold embossed paper, cut into the shape of a heart. Includes a rare example of blonde hair work. The verso reads in contemporary ink, "Mattie ... Stanford" Measures approx. 2.5" by 2.5" Very good. A little staining, surface wear to verso.
