c.1919 Book of Railroad Fare Certificates for Clergymen
[New York, New York]: U.S. Railroad Administration, c.1919. A book of blank certificates that entitle the holder to "one-way passage tickets at the authorized Clergy fares over all railroads under Federal control". Issued by the U.S. Railroad Administration, this booklet is stamped "No. E75615". Two of the certificates have been partially filled out, and at least a couple leaves have been sometime excised and used. Lower cover punched to indicate an expiry date of September 22, 1920. The holder appears to be "J.P. Stockton" of West Unity, Ohio. Single vol. (2.5" by 5"), approx. 45 leaves, stapled in original printed covers. Good to very good. At least a couple leaves excised.
