Yonkers, New York: The Arlington Chemical Co., c.1910. A humorous booklet advertising Liquid Peptonoids with Creosote, an "antiseptic and anti-tubercular" medicine. Tongue-in-cheek, it is written in the form of an "Annual address delivered by Dr. Boneset before the Medical Society of the County of Hardscrabble" (p. 1) in which the crotchety Dr. Boneset argues that the new medicine is making the town "too healthy". 24mo (6" by 4.5"), pp. 8, with in-text illustrations, stapled in original illustrated wrappers depicting the main character. Very good to near-fine. Wrappers brittle. Toned, extremities worn. Short tear to foot of spine/upper wrapper.
