"My ABC of Ships" and "My ABC of Trains" -- Two (2) "Linentex" Picture Books
Cloth books became popular in the early 20th century and were distributed by children's publishers including Saalfield, Raphael Tuck & Sons, and Dean’s Rag Book Company. They provided children with a "tactile" experience while they turned the pages themselves for the first time, and had the added bonus of being more durable than paper.

The first, "My ABC of Ships", is themed around ocean liners and sailing (A is for Anchor, B is for Buoy, etc.). The second, "My ABC of Training", is themed around trains and railroads (A is for Axle, B is for Boiler, etc.). Each features full-page color illustrations and large text. Each is single vol. (10" by 8.5"), pp. [12], illus., in original illus. Linentex wrps. Good. Dust soiling, staining, pencil trials, some rust staining from staples, short tears.Price: $125.00
