[Richmond, Virginia]: c.1891. A handsome chromolitho advertising card for The Times, a newspaper printed in Richmond, Virginia dedicated to "Democratic Principles". Includes a host of patriotic iconography including a bald eagle in flight, a stars and stripes design, and Thomas Jefferson in profile superimposed on top of a facsimile image of the newspaper. Measures approx. 8" by 5.5", verso blank. Very good. Dust soiling, trimmed at top and bottom, short tear to head. Minor surface abrasion to verso.
