Macramé Knotting Sample Book
Some of the earliest recorded uses of macramé-style knots as decoration appeared in the carvings of the Babylonians and Assyrians. We are more familiar with the art of knotting (rather than weaving or knitting) during the Victorian era and the 1970s. My spider plant hung in a macramé hanger.
[1970s]. A 6 3/4" x 8 3/4" sample book with 10 different examples of fine macramé knotting. Worked in white and/or white and red. Narrow gauge cord. Most measure approximately 3 1/2" x 2 1/2". The largest is 5" x 5". Fabric covered album with shoelace binding. Minimal wear.Price: $250.00
