New York, New York: Geo. Hoag & Co., c.1876. A c.1876 printed circular advertising a combination letter scale and coin tester, for use by small businesses and post masters. The letter scale allows the user to determine postage cost by letter weight, and the coin tester allows the user to confirm whether or not a coin is counterfeit (by weight, diameter, thickness of the coin). Printed circular measuring approx. 8.25" by 5.5" with image of the invention on the front, verso blank. Very good. Letter folds, modern tape repairs to verso.
