Le Succes Vol. XXII, No. 7 -- Colored Plates of Parisian Women's Fashion from October 1901

New York, New York: H. & B. Sirotta, 1901. A near-complete example of the October 1901 issue of "Le Succes", marketed as "The Best, Richest, and Most Practical Fashion Journal of Paris and the World. This issue includes twelve of the original eighteen plates, most of which have been hand-colored in the season's latest colors. Each style has a name and number that corresponds to an index in the rear with brief description. Also includes a brief article on the latest fashions by the Vicomtesse de Saint-Georges, and a brief section titled "Theatrical and Parisian Gossip" discussing the latest news from the stage. Measures approx. 18" by 12.5", plates loosely held in original printed blue wrps with adverts on lower wrapper. Good. Sunned with chipping to extremities, light dust soiling. Large open tears to a couple leaves, minimal to no content/text loss. Lacks six of the eighteen plates.
