United States: 1850s. An elaborate and remarkably well-preserved embossed lace paper colored with blue and pink, depicting ballerinas, putti, and swans underneath a canopy of weeping willow branches. Measures approx. 4.5" by 7", for octavo-sized Valentine. Very good to near-fine. The most minor of toning around the edges.
