Single fold menu from the Boston House, a restaurant in Chicago. This was their 'Theatre Menu', and as such had a section at the top of the cover to advertise up and coming actors as the "Favorite of the Week". The actor on this menu is June Van Buskirk who had performed in the Grand Opera House in Chicago in 1902 in the a part of the extended cast of the Wizard of Oz (she played a farm hand, a Lady of the Wizard's Court, and a Dreamland Maid). A pasted on printed photograph of her is placed on the top right of the front page of the menu, surround by decorative elements that includes theater masks and cupids. At the bottom of the front page is the start of the menu with "A Few Liquid Suggestions" such as a Ye Old Musty Ale, St. Juliene, and A Zinfandel (vintage 1893). The inside of the menu is divided into several sections: Special Dishes, Oysters, Chafing Dish Specialties, Salads, Soups, Shell Fish, Game and Chicken, Relishes, Sandwiches, Ice Cream, Cheese, and Coffee. On the last page is a list of "A Few of our Special Dishes" for "GIRLS!  [to] Take this home and try your luck!". This list contained a variety of some of their more popular dishes with short instructions on how to cook them. The menu itself is printed on green paper with green and burgundy text. Inscribed on the inside of the cover is "Guy Walker, Burton, & Tommie, after Chicago Opera House - Jan. 31, '03" Measures 7 1/2" x 4 3/4" (folded), 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" (unfolded).
