This item is the souvenir catalogue produced by the Keystone Watch Case Company for the World's Columbian Exposition, located in Chicago in 1893. The fair was held to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' arrival in the New World. The company sold a variety of of ornate watch cases in solid gold, gold filled, silver and nickel. This catalogue provides a description for the watch cases sold by Keystone, including several illustrations of their most decoratvie cases. The watch cases designs were designedmostly by James Boss a skilled watch case maker, who eventually sold his designs to the Keystone Company. Beyond Boss' designs, there are also descriptions and illustrations of the Cyclone rolled plate cases, screw cases, leader silver cases, and silveroid cases. Along with information and illustrations of watch cases are eight (8) full page illustrations of different buildings and scenes from the World's Columbian Exposition. Some of the buildings depicted are: Manufactures and Liberal Arts Building, Mines and Mining Building, and Electrical Building. On the front cover of this souvenir catalog is printed "What Everybody ought to know about watches". On the back cover, in blue ink, is an illustration of factories and main offices of the Keystone Watch Case Company. 40 pgs. Printed wrappers. Red string binding. OCLC 3 (July 2020).
