Chromolithograph wraps.  "There's no place in the wide, wide world as funny as the Zoo".., And so it begins, a profusely illustrated book with several captioned vignettes per page with animals in human situations.  The rhyming narrative represents the animals point of view on how they are often treated unfairly by the human visitors, the animals point of view on live in the zoo and playing on the demands of humans in general. Fine two page illustration at center titled "Parliament at the Zoo" wit the Lion residing, the wise owl listening overhead  and the pelican speaking his mind. Various animals old protest signs. The end to the poem is recapping the animals and concludes "Just pay a visit to the Zoo and see how you'll enjoy it." Measures 9 1/2" x 12". OCLC -3 (Feb. 2021)
