1880s. A 3 3/4" x 3 1/2" paper covered pressed board box with applied litho of a young fair haired girl on the cover. Within are eight (8) small boxes each with a portion of the cover litho applied as though the boxes were a puzzle. Although the boxes could be used as a trinket box, they were most commonly used for chocolates. This particular box may have been a sample box as it is marked No. 2003. No contents other than the box. A charming keepsake.
