The sign show some toning due to age, but otherwise in great condition.
1940s. A 21" x 11" sign advertising shoe polish. The graphic sign is emblazoned with the quotes "For all shoes" and "Easy to Use". Its bold graphics highlight the "2 in 1" using a variety of red, black, and grey. The polish boasts the capabilities to be used on all types of shoes, whether they are black, white or tan. To emphasize this product point the sign depicts three cultural offensive racial stereotype images of the heads of an African American, a Caucasian, and an Asian.The sign was most likely created by 2 in 1 Polish, Limited, which operated out of Hamilton, Ontario in Canada.
