Also contains diet suggestions for children aged 6 months to 2 years. The Prescribing Manual is divided by medicine type (e.g. "Liquores", "Misturae", "Linimenta") and includes over 100 medicines, both internal and topical. 12mo (5.25" by 3.5"), pp. 58, sewn in original red pebbled cloth stamped in blind and gold. Ink signature of Austin D. Smith dated 1903 to front free endpaper; bookplate and ink stamp of the Mellin's Food Company Library to upper pastedown and front free endpaper, respectively, also dated 1903. Good. Toned, hinges cracked with first two leaves loose, paper brittle. Extremities worn. A little dust soiling.
