It begins "Every Lady should exercise the utmost care in the selection of her Corsets. No article of a Lady's wardrobe is more important than this, --not only as a necessary adjunct to a perfect toilette, but as a means of preserving and enhancing the beauty and symmetry of the female form devine. If, on the other hand, she be not blessed with a well rounded and regular form, a Corset well and properly fitted will make a complete and wonderful change. Corsets should therefore be chosen with great deliberation, an all cheap and fanciful makes should be discarded in favor of such as have something besides cheapness and show to commend them." The narrative continues discussing how dressmakers prefer them and their special approach to attaching bones in the corset. Sold by Fowler & Whitaker, Dansville NY. Reverse is blank.
