"Psychic Base Ball" Card Game

New York, New York: Psychic Base Ball Corp. 1927. A clever card game based on America's Pastime. Designed for two to eighteen players, it is titled "Psychic Base Ball" and described by its rules booklet as "A Battle of Wits ... A Game of Skill-Not a Toy". The game was first developed in 1926, and was produced well into the 1930s. Later versions were expanded to become a full 10" by 16" board game.

This particular set is complete. Housed in the original chromolithographed box (4.25" by 3" by 1"), it contains: 12 blank printed score cards (); one printed card explaining how to use score cards (3.5" by 5"); 27 playing cards (each 3.5" by 2.5"); two illustrated rule booklets (11" by 8" and 3.5" by 2.5"); and four small wooden pegs for game play. Damage to box lid. Lacking "special contest" entry form.
