A 1 5/8"x 3" business card printed on lightly coated stock.  It is for Newman & Ivison, Publishers, Booksellers, and Stationers. No. 178 Fulton Street, New York.  The reverse lists the books published by Newman & Ivison. A 24 pp. booklet originally published in The Paper World, October 1890. Discusses Webster's dictionary, it's development, it's founders and old-time and present publishers, Messrs. G. & C. Merriam & Co. It begins with the life work of Noah Webster, L.L. D., the progression of the dictionary and the part played by the Merriams.   6 1/2" x 5".

Four (4) billheads including cost of goods sold and additional information for the firms of  from Gardiner Tracy, Bennett, Backus & Hawley, Hawley, Fuller & Co. and H.H. Hawley.  Sidebars include basic information on types of goods being sold, to the categories of inventory to lists of actual books published by printer.  All addressed to Rowley and/or Curry, booksellers in Utica.. Held Thursday Evening, October 18, (1922).  A four (4) page large format menu and program bound with an orange and black string tie. Additional one page insert with tyext and typography by Arthur C. Gruver contributed to the craftsmen number of the Amerian Printer by  MacGregor - Cutler Printing Company, Pittsburgh PA.  The first page has a tipped-in image from a photograph of Munder.  The second page is the program concluding with a speech by Munder titled "Fine Printing". This is followed by a simple menu, with the final page being  n note on The Craftsmen Movement.   The text block on each page is bordered by  repeated elegant decortive devices in the Craftsmen style.  Measures 12 1/2" x 9 1/4". . Although no year was present, one of the presenters Arthur Gruver was president of the organization that year.

A 5" x 7 1/4" prrof before lettering of a menu depicting a risque scene depicting a young woman hanging from a tree as she attemps to pick apples.  The banquets were organized by the magazine Leon Deschamps, La Plume, between 1892 and 1905.  They were more than just literary events, but of social significance in trying to establish literary space.   Pencil signed by J. A single-fold 8 1/2" x 5 3/4"  circular with an image of George Beale on the cover.  It is addressed to Teachers and dated 1887 and provides promotional information and pricing for the cards.  Back page is blank.  Also includes order form, request for information, testimonials and the original mailing envelope. An 8" x 12" proof before lettering of a fine line illustration depicting an outdoor event of Le Cent Bibliophiles, one of the French bibliophilic societies.  It depicts rings of dancing people in the background beneath the trees.  In the foreground a woman tends a pot of "stewing books".  Printed signature A. Lepere. .

A folded sheet measuring 12" x 8 1/2" with two 12" x 8 1/2" inserts. Features a description of the 'Artist and the Critic' Series. It lists a summary and the first eight titles planned. A description of the binding and paper stock is included. A biography of the series author with a sketched portrait rounds out the broadside. Two samples of what the books will look like are included. The first is Volume 1 and shows the book jacket design, then opens to a biography of an illustrator, Laurence Housman and an example of his work. The second insert is a sample of Volume 2 which features illustrator Richard Doyle.. some wear and creasing from handling Westminster for Flying Fame, London. Broadside measures 11 1/2" x 6" and features  the image of a dog at the top and man at the bottom. A  story of the Fiddler from the viewpoint of his dog. Top of page states "Price-Twopence, plain. Fourpence, coloured." no date.. small holes in each corner where broadside may have been hung. some wear on top edges, slight staining at top

A folded sheet measuring 12" x 9 3/4" with a 10 1/4" x 7 1/4" insert to the reader. Also included is the original order card and envelope. Features a woodcut illustration on the front by Karin Wikström. The inside has a description of "California Writers of the Land", "A Story of the Santa Lucias', and "About the Yolla Bolly Press Edition". The back page lists other books in the series and the terms of purchase. The insert tells readers of why they chose to create this edition and the making of it. The order card is unused and has the publisher's address stamped envelope. All are stored in the original publishers stamped envelope which measures 13" x 10".. broadside-as new, envelope-has wear and some staining
