Charming fantasy illustrations of a fairy and various animals in different nature scenes.  Animals include wise owl, squirrel and guinea pig, black tortoise and giraffe, frog and fish, blue titmouse and the paper nautilus.  Also includes  arum lily and violets.  The back cover is an engraving of large family in a Victorian parlor.  A woman is seated at a sewing machine.  It is captioned Hunt, Webster & Co..
