Finely produced in arts and crafts style. Writings by Edward Pollack, Joaquin Miller David Starr Jordan, Frank Norris, Bret Harte, John Muir, Helen Hunt Jackson, etc. Illustrations, from photos by Harold A. Taylor, Harold A. Parker, Arnold Genthe, H.C. Tibbitts, etc. Condition: wear to edges, both covers, with sime splits to burlap at edges of backstrip; front cover lightly soiled, with some minor contact marks.
