A seven (7) part paper litho on wood articulated, mechanical pantin style jumping jack toy or paper doll.  The character has an ethnic appearance with porkpie hat, sash and mustache.  The image of an organ grinder comes to mind.  Nails or pins at joints and string mechanism on reverse.  Limbs move in various directions depending on how the string is pulled.  Most likely from the 1880s.  Measures 12 1/2" in length when extended. Condition: some edge wear on litho; somewhat faded. Nicely played with.  Has been restrung, may benefit from heavy string.  All in all great mechanical paper toy.
