| A complete game of Old Maid Improved, including instructions. Lithographed cards with Victorian images. There are seventeen sets of couples that when placed side by side create a scene. Each scene is captioned. Several are dances including the Fandango, the Minuet, Virginia Reel and more. There are also a number of scenes that depict stereotypical ethnic scenes. Charming Victorian imagery. The backs of the cards are blank. Not dated but appear to be from the 1880s or 1890s. Each card measures 2 1/4" x 3 1/2". Conditon: generalized light wear; few corner chips. Strong color. |
