A 5 ½” x 3 ¾” valentine with intricate lace paper design of morning glories swirling about two types of vining leaves.  Open oval at center backed with pink satin with applied Dresden embossed Victorian scrap of Cupid racing across the sky in a chariot being lead by birds.  He holds a fish over his shoulder.  Additional scraps of torche and ribbon.  Applied printed songbook at base.  Light pink tissue backing.  Back page lacking.  Some glue marks.  C1860s.
