A 9 1/4" x 11" applied litho on board game board for GAME OF BEAR HUNT.  McLoughlin Bros. Copyright 1870. The front has an applied label depicting a bear and cubs in the woods with a hunter in the tree. The inside of the board depicts bears and hunters among the trees.  The trees of numbered segments.  The back cover has instructions.  The game is to be played using a pair of dice and buttons (presumably provided by the players) There are a number of nuances as to when and how players advance up the tree.  The game is complete when one player reaches the top, and throws his button off.  Condition: moderate to heavy surface wear. Scarce item.
