A 2 7/8" x 1 7/8" coated stock novelty Christmas and New Year greeting card published by Goodall. It depicts two Black characters one head first in a barrel of oysters or clams marked "Barrel of Natives", while the other wide-eyed character observes.  It is captioned A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.   The GoodAll heart trademark is at the base. c 1870s. Condition: overall excellent; minimal area of missing surface litho on reverse.  Stereotypical imagery.
