Cartouche has watercolor of multicolored tropical bird at center with handpainted and applied flowers and silk leaves surround bird and along lace paper margin at base. Hand penned verse at top “A contract I propose to date from hence, And as one firm a partnership commence; In Hymen’s Ledger. I’ll fair statement make you, And formally my future partner take you”.
