Consists of two sets of numbered cards—each with 72 cards.   The first set is the first half of a proverb, with the corresponding number of the second set being the conclusion.  Each card is printed in English, German, French and Spanish.  Housed in a 3 ¼” x 3 7/8” x 2” cardstock box with applied label.  Wear to box.  Card I. on first set repaired with archival tape on reverse; minimal detraction.  Card 39. lacking in second set.   No instructions.

 

Alice Werner-Steinbrecher published educational games and song books in multiple languages, but predominantly French, with the purpose of “making acquisition of additional languages an easy and natural process for little children.”
